Global warming isn't man-made, the global warming politics is man-made.

Many recall the rising interest rates of the Carter administration during the late 1970s. Americans were much more savvy back then, and they knew that seeing interest rates rise to 12% was doing great harm to our economy. I have witnessed 3 presidencies in 20 years and some of them did little but give the Reagan agenda and his constituency lip service.
While making real progress of balancing the federal budget, President Reagan brought interest down dramatically. The resulting economic boom that resulted for much of the twenty years that followed had congress rubbing their hands together every time there was a slight economic expansion.
The presidents and congress have been dropping the ball for 20 years. The American people just don’t get it now, they learn from our media to expect it, and they just don’t get it, and they learn to accept it.
After the American media has spent every day, of two republican presidential terms selling recession propaganda from their very first days in office to their last, they have finally done us in. We have learned to accept that Al Gore is the final word on global warming, and that which we need most to save our economy, crude oil and nuclear energy, are evil dark energies, and that wind mills and solar power are the solution, and will save our economy, which is a lie. But we’re conditioned to accept it, and we learn to expect it and we just don’t get it.
Reagan knew congress was going to heap all this debt onto the backs of your children. How many generations will it take to pay off this debt. None, because we’ve stopped having children on a statistical scale, and how should we have children, now and subject them to this nightmare that Ronald Wilson Reagan and his constituency tried to prevent.
We aren’t going to be able to get our institutions to pass on the lower interest to the American consumers now because they see what is coming,
And the young Americans that Ronald Reagan and his supporters were hoping to make homes more affordable for. Well, perhaps they can buy a foreclosed home. Until high interest rates foreclose on them also.
And all those selfish congressmen in Washington voted for their-selves salary raises during every deficit year, as if they earned it.
Much to my total shock and awe, the state legislature in California did something sane and unselfish. They passed a budget compromise with Arnold Schwarzenegger to hold back pay raises for legislators during budget deficit years.
If they do this in Washington, I’ll eat a ten gallon hat.
Suffice to say, this is not what Carter would do.
